Subsidy By Government For Poly House Net House

Government Subsidy Assistance in India is applicable on all Protected Structures like Poly house and Net House, as per MIDH guidelines. Full Assistance is provided by our Company in completing all formalities to claim Poly house/Net House subsidy as per norms of Govt. of India.

 

There are two types of govt subsidies available in India

  • One is from the State Govt. through the National Horticulture Mission (NHM) like Haryana Government is Providing 65% subsidy, Punjab Govt 50%, Himachal Govt 80-85% subsidy on Ply House and Net house. The State Government gets approximately 50% subsidy from the Central Govt. in return.
  • The other one is from the Central Govt. through the National Horticulture Board (NHB) on Total Project at a 50% rate. The Project includes all supporting components required including Post Harvest Management.

About Government Subsidy

Farming is the single largest private sector contributing to economic activity in the country. Hence, the polyhouse cultivation is now being promoted by the State government along with Horticulture crops.

Activities like construction of green houses, shade net house, plastic mulching, and plastic tunnels, anti-bird/ hail nets are being promoted under MIDH guidelines. National Horticulture Board (NHB) and National Horticulture Mission (NHM) under MIDH guidelines provide Poly house/Net house subsidy to farmer.

National Horticulture Board (NHB) provides 50% subsidy on a project cost of 112 Lakhs maximum ceiling per beneficiary and it means Beneficiary can install 2.5-3 acres of Poly House/Net House with Subsidy from NHB. 

The National Horticulture Mission (NHM) which is a mission scheme of the government, which provides a subsidy of 50% to 85% of the project cost with maximum ceiling of One Avre/4000 Sq. Mtrs each beneficiary.

So, the farmers can avail of Government subsidy assistance in India to establish the structure. This, additionally, every state has its own scheme (SHM) State Horticulture mission, where a top-up subsidy of 15% – 40% or more depending on state government policy may be provided on the 50% provided by NHM, making the total subsidy ranging between 50% to 90% statewide. So, the input cost for the farmer going for polyhouse cultivation is low and affordable.

Among North-Indian states subsidy rates vary as Haryana and Gujarat state provides 65% of subsidy, whereas Uttar Pradesh and Punjab provide 50% of subsidy on total costing. Himachal Pradesh gives 85% and 70% of subsidies for the replacement of Polysheet after at least 3-5 years of Poly house construction or damage due to natural calamities. The scheme was implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture.
